How do I use the Kestrel Percussion Massager?
Below are some basic best practices when using the Kestrel Percussion Massager:
1. Always turn on the Kestrel before placing it on the body.
2. Use speeds 1-3 for muscle recovery and speeds 4-6 for soothing massage and to warm-up muscles pre-workout.
3. Simply glide the Kestrel on muscles that need the most attention, and let it do the work for you. Slowly move around the muscle, gradually applying light to moderate pressure as needed.
4. Remember to breathe and relax to allow your muscles to loosen as the Kestrel does its job.

How long should I use my Kestrel?
We recommend using your Kestrel Percussion Massager for a minimum of 15 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes per muscle group. Do not exceed 15 minutes per session. Try to maintain 2-3 full sessions per day, depending on desired result.
30 SECONDS = MUSCLE ACTIVATIONBefore workouts or physical activity, glide your Kestrel over desired area for 30 seconds to activate and “wake up” your muscles.
15 SECONDS = MUSCLE RE-ACTIVATIONReactivate muscles during workout or any activity with a quick 10-15 second session on the muscle group. This re-energizes the muscles by removing lactic acid and promoting maximum blood flow.

The product works great at first, and the lifetime warranty makes the price tag worth it, but unfortunately the massage guns, though powerful, break very easily. I have had nine of my devices break in different ways, so I know it is not the way I use them. The replacements are often refurbished units which either arrive broken or work only for a short while. When they replace the order, the packages too often get lost. I am still waiting for my last replacement to arrive!
Great product
Performance is great when it works Build quality does not seem to hold up over time with normal use. The Warranty support has been frustrating and unresolved. Communication lacks clarity and follow-through, and the claims never arrive or are filled with defective units. Emails are not answered, or if they are, they ask for additional documentation, obviously a run around to not fulfill the warranty claims. If the company improved their warranty process and stood behind their product, this would be a very different review. Until then, I can’t recommend it based on my experience
My massage guns keep breaking and the last order arrived broken.The company offers a life time warranty but now they are not responding to my emails and not honoring their warranty! I am going to to have to escalate this if no one replaces my broken units! I have had them later than two months!!! Not a trustworthy company!!!

Last year, I developed piriformis syndrome in my hip, with sciatica discomfort down my leg. PT did not resolve the issue, and I began to think that I was just "getting old." Months later, I learned that some physios were enthusiastic about their use of Ekrin guns on their patients, so I bought a B37S. After the third use, my condition abated significantly, and pretty soon, it resolved completely! Color me amazed.

Have used several of these types of massagers. Prior to and following surgery for relatively severe cervical neck disease. This massager is well constructed, powerful, and on par with the thera gun (typically used as a standard.) It is a much better product and definite upgrade from the $50-$150 items found on Amazon etc. There are even more powerful commercial massagers which are more sturdy however they are priced in the $1000+/- range. Overall I'm very pleased with the Ekrin; the attachments provided, power, construction, and battery life are all very good. Let's hope it keeps functioning like new with continued use. I feel it will. It also comes with a lifetime warranty which is a nice plus.
Google Gemini compared the B37 to a competitor that is used at the Stretch Labs. The Kestral at 30% off with a better run time and lifetime warranty sold me. I use it every morning and after work with great success. At 69, and working at Lowe's garden center lifting fresh cut trees all day I rely heavily on the Kestral for recovery. I bought one for my son and neighbors are very interested. Speaking from 40 years in medical product development I complement your ergonomics with the angled handle. Well done.

I had the B37S for years and loved it. The Kestrel is even better. I really like the USB-C charging on the new one; it's very convenient. And it still uses the same heads, with even more variety of shapes.
Just works! Does the job and very well. No stalling and if you try you will bruise yourself. IMHO no one needs more than this! High quality. Just a nit pick would be that bag it with was a hair bigger. I would buy it again! Yes!
I spend all day on my feet. Visiting the chiropractor or massage therapist is expensive and time consuming. This massage gun really helps my feet loosen up and feel better after a full day on my feet. Now I just need to find a way to get a massage gun built into my steel toed boots…. All in all a great massager. If it can last as long as my other name brand massager it will be well worth the money.

Packs plenty of power! I've used this for three weeks, both on myself at home and on clients at my clinic. So far, I pack a lot of power. I've only had to use the first two levels, with plenty more power to use if needed. So far, the battery life is phenomenal, thanks to a high-quality build. I don't use it on every client, but this gun will last me years. I highly recommend this over the Hyperice brand, which I have used extensively.
This top of the line Ekrin Kestrel Massager is my new girlfriend. I referee basketball, and when I come home from work, I just sit on the sofa for 20 to 30 minutes and just massage the heck out of myself with it. It saves me from paying for massages and alleviates discomfort the next day. I love this thing. I wish I would’ve purchased it five years ago.

My order came very fast to my biggest surprise. I used the device immediately and never looked back. It is very handy and I can reach all the muscles on my back. The y-shaped piece is too rough for me but I love the big pieces which are a god send for my legs. I definitely would recommend this device to anyone looking for an excellent massage gun on a budget.
I had the Ekrin Bantam (travel size) for a few years, and burned through 2 motors. Ekrin made good on their lifetime warranty and replaced it both times. Man I loved that little thing; it really packed a punch for its size. Then it mysteriously disappeared (I suspect wife accidentally threw it away, but a confession was not forthcoming). I had no hesitation about replacing my lost mini gun with an Ekrin product, and decided to upgrade to the larger top of the line Kestrel. It’s significantly more powerful; in fact I bruised my quad and glute going a little too hard with one of the firmer heads. The battery also lasts a lot longer. So far I am loving the new larger Kestrel! It’s bigger and heavier, but I think I will still travel with it since it comes with a compact soft neoprene travel case and a little zipper pouch for the accessories. I think Ekrin is a great company. I love their high quality products, their pricing is reasonable, and their warranty is solid. I would highly recommend Ekrin over their competitors!
AMAZING MOTOR! TERRIBLE ELECTRONIC OPERATING SYSTEM! DO NOT switch between massage and charging functions without letting it rest for a few minutes in between these two functions!!! IT DOES NOT LIKE THIS!!! IT WILL MALFUNCTION!!! HOWEVER, that said... It seems to function perfectly if I follow this protocol! So, for now... I'M KEEPING IT EXCUSIVELY BECAUSE I LOVE THE MOTOR!!! SUPER POWERFUL... I have not been able to reach its "stop force" during my normal use, which is why I bought it! My old Hypervolt Go wasn't powerful enough, or quiet enough to use at night. I'M KEEPING IT FOR THE MOTOR!!! TIME WILL TELL HOW THE ELECTRONICS WILL PERFORM!!?? 🤔

A robust massage gun with a good assortment of attachments. I really like the reach this massage gun has, I can get most hard to access places on my back. I wish the attachments would glide better over the body and clothing, the rubber ball attachment, although very useful especially on the back and shoulders, grabs at skin enough to pinch and bunches up clothing, the same concept with a smoother finish would be great. The flat, dimpled rubber, attachment also does not glide well over skin and clothing.
I’m a small guy (5’ 3”, 133 pounds) and a serious runner (I often place in my age group). Due to my size, I had planned to buy the Ekrin 365 because I thought its smaller size would be easier to handle. However, because I had never used a percussion massager, I was uncertain if its 40 pound maximum stall force would be enough to give me the deep massage I hoped to get. I wrote to Ekrin about my uncertainty. I got a quick response. Ekrin suggested that I would be happier with the Kestrel’s 56 pound stall force as it would give me the deep massage I was seeking. I decided to take a chance on the Kestrel, figuring I could exchange it if it didn’t work out. I noticed that there was a great price on the Kestrel/Bantam bundle, so I decided to order that. When the Kestrel arrived, I was quick to try it out at its lowest setting, which has a 40 pound stall force, just like the highest stall force of the 365. I quickly found out that, while the 40 pound stall force was quite enough for most of my body, it was nowhere strong enough to give me a deep massage on my thighs and butt. I have found that setting three works really well for those two areas. The muscles in those parts of my body will be forever grateful for me ordering the Kestrel. After a hard sprint workout, the Kestrel relieves soreness I didn’t even know I had. Another advantage of ordering the Kestrel was that it got me some extra attachments. I particularly like using the air cushion attachment on sensitive areas. The case is excellent and the charging is easy. Having both the Kestrel and the Bantam (which is the same circumference handle as the 365) allowed me to compare their comfort. Even though I was able to get a good grip on the Kestrel’s handle, I did find that the smaller Bantam handle was more comfortable for me. That said, I found that the best way for me to use the massage gun was not to hold the handle. I found that I could get better control and apply more pressure by holding the Kestrel so that the palm of my hand is directly behind the attachment. See my photo. If it’s within your budget, I do recommend purchasing the Kestrel/Bantam bundle as having both devices increases the versatility of your massage and gives you the portability of the Bantam. I would rate the Bantam as being able to do about 80% of what the Kestrel can do. But keep in mind, that final 20% is critical to getting a complete massage.
I'm a 60km per week, 50yr old runner who gets sore calf muscles. The Kestral has been a fantastic investment for me, I use it daily after a run and my calf muscles feel so much better, enabling me to run fresh the next day. Highly recommend. Other than that, it's a really solid product. My wife is also a physio and has borrowed it several times and is now purchasing for her business!
