Below are some basic best practices when using the Kestrel Percussion Massager: 

1. Always turn on the Kestrel before placing it on the body.
2. Use speeds 1-3 for muscle recovery and speeds 4-6 for soothing massage and to warm-up muscles pre-workout.
3. Simply glide the Kestrel on muscles that need the most attention, and let it do the work for you.  Slowly move around the muscle, gradually applying light to moderate pressure as needed.
4. Remember to breathe and relax to allow your muscles to loosen as the Kestrel does its job. 

The Kestrel Percussion Massager is designed with innovative ergonomics, which includes its 15 degree angled handle.  This, along with the "tower" grip, allow you to hold the Kestrel in a variety of ways, making it easier than ever to treat hard-to-reach areas like your back.

We recommend using your Kestrel Percussion Massager for a minimum of 15 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes per muscle group.  Do not exceed 15 minutes per session. Try to maintain 2-3 full sessions per day, depending on desired result.

30 SECONDS = MUSCLE ACTIVATION

Before workouts or physical activity, glide your Kestrel over desired area for 30 seconds to activate and “wake up” your muscles.

15 SECONDS = MUSCLE RE-ACTIVATION

Reactivate muscles during workout or any activity with a quick 10-15 second session on the muscle group. This re-energizes the muscles by removing lactic acid and promoting maximum blood flow. 

2 MINUTES = PAIN RELIEF & RECOVERY

Gently glide your Kestrel for up to 2 minutes for muscle recovery post-workout.  This will decrease soreness and decrease recovery time.

The Kestrel uses a lithium-ion battery, which is permitted for air travel by the TSA. However, per TSA regulations, lithium-ion batteries should not be stored in checked baggage and should be stored in carry-on baggage.
