Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design (with technical focus), or Product Design Engineering.
-
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in 3D CAD software is a must.
-
Hands-on Experience: A portfolio showing personal or university projects where you built a physical, moving product from scratch.
-
Grit: The ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures and find "workaround" solutions during the prototyping phase.
-
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and manufacturers
Ideal Candidate Profile
You might be a recent graduate who spent your time in the university "Maker Space" or Formula SAE team. You are obsessed with how things work, you notice the "part lines" on plastic products, and you are eager to see your designs go from a computer screen to a customer’s hands.
